The Khalil Mamoon Black Shareef

The Black Shareef is one of the popular hookahs by Khalil Mamoon. Standing at 33 inches, the demanding presence of the Black Shareef bear the prime elegance of a traditional Egyptian hookah. Both the stem and downstem of the Black Shareef are made with high-quality stainless steel with brass rings. It’s got a single wide bore hose adapter and a wonderful handpainted glass vase. What’s great about Khalil Mamoon hookahs is that they are handmade, and the Black Shareef is of no exception. Even the glass vase is beautifully handpainted, so you’ll see a slight variation from the picture or on your next Black Shareef order. As with all handmade hookahs, weld marks are expected. However, these marks bring character to a hookah, something that traditional hookah users often look for and appreciate.

You’ll notice that the center design is simple Egyptian fare. To confirm the authenticity of your Black Shareef, look for the KM initials which are usually located on top of the stem where the tray sits. The stamp can also be seen on the tray, which is made of stainless steel.

How to assemble the Black Shareef hookah

Add water to the vase until it fills up two-thirds of the vase. The water level can vary so you may want to take dry pull to see if the pressure is okay. Attach stem and make sure that the connection is secure. Twist on the hose and place the tray on top of the stem. Pack the bowl and connect it to the end of the stem. Place lighted coals on the aluminum foil of the bowl and wait for a couple of minutes for the coals to “cook” the shisha.

Ease of use

The thing that you can appreciate with the Black Shareef is that, despite its massive size, it’s really easy to use. Just set it up, and you’re good to go. You can upgrade the hose and change bowls depending on your hookah smoking demands, and the hookah will take them like a champ.

It’s one of the stable hookahs to use. The weight is a great asset because it gives stability to the hookah. What’s more, the base provides enough weight, especially when filled with water, so that you won’t have a hookah that’s top-heavy.

Hookah experience

A lot of users love the way the Black Shareef delivers smoke, thanks to its wide-gauge hose and downstem. Smoke clouds are thick, and you’ll only taste the flavor of your shisha. The smoothness stays all throughout the session and also for years. One of the reasons why the Khalil Mamoon Black Shareef is popular is because you can use it for years, and it works as smoothly as the first day you got it.

No complaints when it comes to cloud volume and density. Even at the start of your session when the shisha’s priming with the heat, you already get thick clouds. After several puffs and once the shisha’s fully heated, you get enough smoke to do your cool hookah tricks with your friends.

No problems also when sharing with friends. The Black Shareef has enough capacity for a good amount of smoke volume. The stem gauge is also big enough to support medium and large bowls.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Black Shareef is easy, and you can use the usual cleaning techniques as you do with other hookahs. You may need a deeper sink or an extendable water hose to rinse the long stem. When it comes to the hose, though, you shouldn’t rinse it unless you get a waterproof one.

Conclusion

The Black Shareef is a wonderful hookah that is easy to use and can last for years. The materials are top-notch, and you won’t have any problems with it getting broken easily. It’s not a cheap hookah by any means, and the investment is worth it. The Khalil Mamoon Black Shareef is a hookah that delivers and will soon become your favorite in your collection. However, because of the big size, it’s not a good hookah of choice for beginners. It’s more suited for experienced and expert hookah smokers who can take the volume and intensity of smoke.
